PRODUCTIVITY AND PERFORMANCE
The Tier 4 Final engine that is in the 409 provides high torque at low revs for excellent fuel economy. Dimensions are compact for a tight turn radius. The machine also has available multiple axle options including open diffs for hard ground, limited slip diffs for soft muddy terrain, and locking diffs for uneven off roading. The 409 also has the option for a high speed transmission that can accelerate the machine up to 21 MPH.
BUILT TO LAST
This wheel loader benefits from a strong chassis and the best possible weight distribution; this allows for optimal absorption of external forces. The recessed rear lights are protected within the counterweight and the hydraulic hoses are positioned from any pinching.
COMFORTABLE AND EASE OF USE
The JCB 409 has a comfortable and spacious cab with that features a new ergonomically designed joystick control system for comfortable and intuitive operation. The cab also has a fully opening right-hand window, for increased ventilation, while still being protected from dust.
SERVICEABILITY
Serviceability on the engine is easy, as all of the maintenance points are easily accessible from the engine cover on the rear of the machine. The in cab display lets the operator know if there are any error alerts or LiveLink Telematics can notify the operator.
EFFICIENT ENGINE DESIGN
The 409 comes standard with a 74HP JCB Diesel by Kohler. This engine still meets Tier 4 emissions standards and does not require DPF or DEF like other diesel engines.
